We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design & Simulation Engineer to join a multidisciplinary R&D team developing complex, high-performance systems.

The role combines mechanical design, structural and thermal analysis, simulation, and hands-on validation, with close collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design and development of complex opto-mechanical and multidisciplinary assemblies.
Perform thermal and CFD simulations using advanced FEA tools.
Conduct structural simulations, including modal, PSD, shock, and thermo-structural analysis.
Analyze mechanical performance under different environmental, thermal, and dynamic conditions.
Evaluate installation and integration aspects, including thermal management, stiffness, and structural performance.
Translate simulation results into mechanical design improvements and engineering decisions.
Support hands-on thermal and mechanical validation and correlate simulation results with experimental data.
Work closely with multidisciplinary R&D teams, including optics, electronics, systems, and other engineering disciplines.
Participate throughout the development cycle, from concept and design through analysis, validation, and product integration.
Drive engineering solutions in a fast-paced environment with multiple technical challenges and tight development schedules.

דרישות

B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering – required; M.Sc. – an advantage.
2+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering of complex systems.
4+ years of experience in thermal/CFD simulations of multidisciplinary systems.
Strong experience with ANSYS – a must.
Proven experience in structural and thermo-structural simulations.
Experience with mechanical design, 3D CAD, and engineering drawings.
Experience with thermal management and heat transfer.
Ability to combine analytical/simulation work with practical mechanical engineering and hands-on validation.
Experience working in multidisciplinary R&D environments.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Hands-on approach, ownership, and ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
