A global technology company is looking for a Director of ATE to take full ownership of automated test systems - including Hardware, Software, Test Automation and Test Infrastructure - from architecture and development through validation, bring-up, delivery and production deployment.
This is a senior technical and leadership position, responsible for leading the ATE domain, working closely with Engineering and Production teams in Israel and globally, and driving improvements in test quality, reliability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Full ownership of ATE architecture, including HW, SW, Automation, Test Infrastructure and Test Data
• Lead the full ATE lifecycle - Architecture, Development, Validation, Bring-up, Commissioning, Delivery and Deployment
• Define Test Architecture, Test Methods and Pass/Fail Criteria
• Lead Test Automation and software infrastructure to improve Test Time, Reliability, Stability and TAT
• Own ATE Quality, Configuration Management, Availability and Reliability
• Build the technology roadmap and drive continuous improvement through advanced test technologies and automation
• Build and lead multidisciplinary teams across ATE HW, SW, Automation and Test Engineering
• Work closely with System Engineering, HW/RF Validation, Embedded SW, NPI, QA and Production
• Lead ATE delivery and deployment to Engineering and Production sites in Israel and abroad
• Drive issue resolution, troubleshooting, RCA and continuous improvement of test systems
✔️ B.Sc. in Engineering, M.Sc. an advantage
✔️ 10+ years of hands-on experience in developing and/or validating ATE / Automated Test Systems
✔️ Strong experience in Test Architecture, Test Methods and Test Infrastructure
✔️ Proven experience combining HW + SW + Test Automation, preferably in communications, embedded, RF or electronics environments
✔️ Strong experience with Test Automation, including Python / PyTest or C#, Test Runners and automation tools
✔️ Experience with RF test methods and automated test equipment – an advantage
✔️ Experience leading Acceptance, Bring-up, Commissioning and Delivery of test systems
✔️ Familiarity with Test Data / Databases and tools such as PostgreSQL, Artifactory and Power BI – an advantage
✔️ Proven experience building and managing multidisciplinary teams of 10+ engineers
✔️ Experience working cross-functionally and across multiple sites / geographies
✔️ Familiarity with Gauge R&R – an advantage
✔️ Excellent planning, reporting, communication and leadership skills
✔️ Fluent Hebrew and English, including strong technical writing skills
