A global technology company operating in the defense and mission-critical communications domain is seeking a Sales Manager to lead strategic growth across the European market.

This is a high-impact role focused on complex solution selling to defense, government, and Tier 1 organizations, combining business development, technical understanding, and the ability to shape tailored system-level solutions for customers.

Position Overview

The Sales Director will lead all sales and business development activities across key European accounts. The role requires a strong ability to engage with defense and government stakeholders, understand operational needs, and translate them into defined technical and system solutions in collaboration with internal engineering teams.

This is not a product sales role — it is a solution-driven, consultative position requiring the ability to define, position, and close complex system-level opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic sales and business development across European defense and government markets
  • Manage key accounts and develop long-term strategic relationships with Tier 1 customers and end users
  • Engage directly with defense and governmental stakeholders to understand mission and operational requirements
  • Translate customer needs into solution concepts in collaboration with engineering and product teams
  • Lead complex sales cycles from opportunity identification through proposal, negotiation, and closure
  • Define account strategies, value propositions, and go-to-market approaches
  • Prepare and deliver technical and commercial presentations, proposals, and bids
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new opportunities within assigned territories
  • Maintain and grow a strong sales pipeline and forecast accuracy
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities in the defense sector
  • Travel across Europe as required

דרישות

  • 5+ years of experience in complex solution sales within defense, aerospace, or government technology markets
  • Proven experience working with Tier 1 defense/government customers
  • Strong track record in managing long and complex sales cycles (multi-stakeholder, system-level deals)
  • Ability to understand technical systems and engage in solution definition discussions (not purely commercial selling)
  • Experience in preparing and leading technical-commercial proposals and bids
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills in complex environments
  • Ability to work independently and drive opportunities end-to-end

Technical & Domain Advantage

  • Background or familiarity with mission-critical systems, communications, tracking, electro-mechanical systems, or signal/sensor-based technologies
  • Experience working closely with engineering/R&D teams on solution definition

Additional Skills

  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills at executive level
  • Strategic thinking with strong business acumen
  • Experience in program/project management – an advantage
  • Fluent English (additional European languages – an advantage)
