Participate in the definition of new products with the R&D or Product Engineer
Participate in Design review meetings representing the suppliers sourcing and the cost structure
Work with the project team to develop and agree cost targets for new components
Interface with the senior/strategic Buyers to identify potential suppliers and lead the NPI supplier selection process and audits
Manage purchase orders end to end – from issue to delivery of goods.
Send purchase orders to suppliers, maintain purchase order status and shipment tracking information.
Update internal databases with order details.
Monitor open purchase orders to ensure that orders received are on time, accurate and handle any discrepancies which may arise.
Ensure goods received are not damaged.
Work closely and maintain strong working relationships with relevant supply chain, contract manufacturers and suppliers.
Ensure products purchased are in line with the needs of the company.
NPI Suppliers day to day management, improve vendor performance.
Excellent teamwork skills with an ability to multitask
Experience working with R&D teams – an advantage
3-5 years’ experience in an industrial purchasing entity preferably within the capital equipment industry
Technical knowledge and background (Mechanical other technologies items) – must
Vast knowledge of industrial components manufacturers (Electric, Electronic, Electro mechanic and Pneumatics)
Excellent commercial and negotiation skills
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to balance immediate and long-term priorities.
Good verbal and written communication skills In Hebrew and English
Positive and “Can do” approach
Experience with Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel), familiarity with Priority – an advantage
